CAROL ALBAN
Multi-Instrumentalist (Flute, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele), Vocalist and Composer.
Carol is also the Founder/Director of the Alban Music School.

Carol Alban has been featured with the Bay Area Chamber Symphony and has performed as a soloist at such notable venues as the Berkeley Piano Club, Yoshi's Jazz Club, Freight and Salvage, the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, CBGBs, and the Blue Note in New York.

Sunday, August 17 Orinda Jazz Festival 3:30 show with Mads Tolling, Brian Byrnes, Ben Flint, Ila Cantor, Alvenson, Marc Levine, Russell Hands, Sharon Temple, Captain Didgeridoo, Clark Mangelsdorf, and a surprise guest! The festival will be held at the Orinda Library Auditorium at 26 Orinda Way. Free parking and also just a 10 minute walk from the Orinda Bart station!
Also performing the festival will be the amazing vocalist Amikaeyla Gaston and her all-star Jazz Ensemble at the 5pm show. Amikaeyla will also be offering a free singing and speaking workshop for all at 2pm.
Guitarist Jim Freeman will be performing at 3pm and 4:30 in the courtyard.
There will be free refreshments fun activities for kids of all ages in the courtyard including face-painting.

Flute Festivals-
Carol was a featured performer at the 2010 San Francisco International Flute Festival Gala Concert on 10-10-10, the Bach & Beyond Flute Festival at Lincoln Center in 2009, and the 2008 World Flute Fest at Carnegie Hall which also featured flutists Marco Granados, Robert Dick, Skip Healy, Bassam Saba. Carol was accompanied by pianists Matt Herskowitz and Taylor Eigsti.
